Summary:
Few things in South Africa are as important as employment and the much sought after result of this employment: Wages. The National Minimum Wage Commission of South Africa is conducting an investigation into the National Minimum Wage (NMW) and is inviting public participation. This process is part of their annual review, which will culminate in recommendations to the Minister of Employment and Labour later in 2024. The Commission is soliciting written representations from interested parties regarding potential adjustments to the NMW.
Individuals and organisations can participate by submitting written representations by 30 September 2024. Submissions can be done via DearSA's platform.
