The Freedom Front Plus (FF+), a South African political party, has submitted a bill that advocates for the Western Cape’s right to self-determination. It aims to give the province greater autonomy and the ability to make decisions on matters that directly affect its residents.
The FF+ argues that the Western Cape, with its unique cultural, economic, and social characteristics, should have the right to govern itself and determine its own future. The bill also aims to initiate discussions about self-determination and explore the potential options to achieve it within the framework of South Africa’s constitution.
